ARCTIC

In the summer of 2007 I visited the Arctic as a shipboard photography advisor with Students on Ice, a Canadian organization that takes high school and college students on expedition to the Arctic and Antarctic--an experience of a lifetime for students of "all ages" to become "Ambassadors for the Environment." It was the first time since record keeping started that the NW Passage was free of summer ice. The summer of 2010 was the second.
